What is the problem?

People with developmental disabilities are unable to participate fully in the electoral process because of inaccessible polling sites, lack of secret and independent ballots and an inability to make financial contributions to campaigns.

How can it be fixed?

• Require municipalities, towns, and villages to make each site accessible so can voters have secret and independent ballots. Require the State Elections Board to oversee the process.
• Pass and sign into law comprehensive campaign finance reform in its entirety to reduce the influence of campaign contributions.
