Direct Service Workers

What is the problem?

Direct service workers perform essential work but are leaving the field because of low wages and poor benefits.

How can it be fixed?

  • Invest $39 million to raise the Community Integration Program daily rates so agencies can raise salaries and improve benefits.
  • Reform small business health insurance so agencies can provide health insurance benefits.
