Services for Children and Families

What is the problem?

Services for children have waiting lists, are underfunded, and are fragmented and difficult to access.

How can it be fixed?

  • Invest $5.1 million to serve all the families waiting for the Family Support Program.
  • Increase funding by $6.2 million for the Birth to Three Program so families continue to have access to services.
  • Invest $3.6 million and generate $5.7 million in federal funds to provide services through the Supporting Families waiver.
  • Invest $300,000 and generate $300,000 in federal funds to pilot a better system for providing services to children.
