Family Care is expanding throughout Wisconsin. Self-Directed Supports (SDS) is an exciting part of Family Care. In SDS people have control of their own lives and choose their own services.

Self-Determination Wisconsin is sponsoring a series of meetings about Self-Directed Supports within Family Care. The meetings are for those who receive long-term care services and their families, for agencies who provide those services, and for advocates.

The purpose of the meetings is:

• To help people understand that SDS is a part of Family Care expansion;
• To help people understand the many ways in which people can use SDS to create or purchase the support they need; and
• To bring people together who will work on making SDS a reality in Wisconsin.
